Program

A proposed pathway from preparation to Tokyo experience

The initial concept combines remote preparation and project work with an in-person Tokyo internship experience, followed by evidence, reflection, and continued network participation.

Phase 1

Orientation & goals

Japan context, professional expectations, student goals, and pathway planning.

Phase 2

Remote projects

Business/Japan-related project work designed to build readiness before travel.

Phase 3

Tokyo placement

Internship experience with a matched host organization; most placements are expected to be unpaid.

Phase 4

Professional development

AI-enabled training and structured reflection through partner environments.

Phase 5

Portfolio evidence

Documented deliverables, skills, feedback, and professional learning.

Phase 6

Alumni pathway

Ongoing community, mentorship, future Japan opportunities, and program advocacy.

Planning target

The current working target is a first Summer 2027 cohort, approximately June–August, with roughly 10–30 students. Final dates, pricing, fields, host availability, and funding support remain under development.
